A Live Cleveland Dance Band that Sounds Just Like the Records You Remember

Why this Cleveland Dance Band?  I like to dance, I love to sing along with the radio, what I don’t like is going to wedding receptions, parties, dances and other events where the live band wants to try and outdo the original artist of a song.

If you’re like me, you like the songs you’ve heard on the radio just fine the way they are.  That’s why – in 2011 – I started the “Like The Record Band”.  Using ultra-cool, hi-tech equipment, we’re able to deliver the sound you remember from the radio through a live Cleveland Dance band.  You get the best of both worlds!

How is “Like The Record” better than other Cleveland Dance Bands?

We have 3 key elements other bands don’t have:

  • Studio sound using live Cleveland bands at your location.
  • Music that practically duplicates the original recording.

I was an army brat growing up. When I was about 13, my family and I were stationed in Germany.  That’s where I first met a high school senior who lived downstairs.  His name was John Door – a professional jazz drummer who would practice every day.  And I wanted to play just like him …  I wanted it badly!

We soon became friends and he began teaching me with theory reading percussion music (which I hated practicing, but knew I had to in order to progress).  I soon started on snare drum in the school marching band then moved on to stage band and orchestra. My high school band mates and I formed numerous groups and played at our high school dances every Friday night.
